We’re welcoming more than 180 new students to the campus this study block.

Last Friday’s Orientation had to be moved online due to flooding in Auckland. We still had a great turnout for the event, which included introductions to staff, an IT induction, and sessions about each of our programmes.

Academic Director Sean Bell welcomed students at the Orientation. He told them Auckland has been ranked the 4th most cosmopolitan city in the world, with 41 percent of its people born overseas.

People from all over the world come to study, work, and make a better life for themselves here. He said he hoped they would find Auckland a safe and friendly space where they could pursue their goals.

Sean told students about our experiential learning methods, which help us achieve our vision of developing the world’s most employable graduates.

He said they shouldn’t expect to find themselves sitting in long lectures here but rather debating, creating, inventing, critiquing, and exploring. Staff would be here to help them on that journey.

Students were finally able to come to the campus in person this week. We are hosting campus tours throughout the day to help them familiarise themselves with our building and facilities.
