Otago Polytechnic Fashion graduate wins prize
Congrats to Otago Polytechnic Bachelor of Fashion graduate Ethan Cruise!
Ethan’s collection, Imperfect Creatures, won the Polson Higgs Entrepreneur in Design Award at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards 2023, held in Dunedin last weekend.
Ethan and fellow graduate Ellen Ross were named finalists in the iD International Emerging Designer Awards 2023, held during iD Dunedin Fashion Week. The duo were among 30 finalists, who hailed from 33 fashion schools across 14 countries.
“Since I started my studies in 2019 I’ve always dreamt of showcasing my work at iD,” says Ethan, whose win earned him a $3500 business advice package.
“Having the opportunity for the 2023 awards was a really special feeling.”
