Take a customised course developed for your school, team or organisation. Our experienced, friendly staff help you improve your English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Otago Polytechnic has been teaching English to international students for over twenty years. We offer small classes (1-15 students) and design our programmes to meet your needs.
Programme outline
Take a 2-3 week programme that focuses on building your confidence in all areas of English language skills.
- Study a variety of subjects – such as Engineering, Tourism, and Hospitality – as part of your course.
- Improve your speaking and listening in in real-life situations. For example, interacting with a homestay family, with staff and students from within Otago Polytechnic, and with members of the wider community.
- Speak and write about your experiences of the day before in class and formally present your views on a range of topics.
Extra activities
Experience Dunedin with a variety of activities – such as viewing wildlife, visiting the only castle in the southern hemisphere, and visiting the steepest street in the world!
