Want to work as a cellar operator in commercial wine cellar operations? What better place to learn about wine than in the heart of one of the most-renowned wine making regions of New Zealand? With work experience during the grape harvest and field trips, courses include Wine and Wine Industry; Winery Processing; Cellar Operations; and Wine Management Post Fermentation. This is an entry-level programme designed for people already working in a winery, or for those who want to enter the wine industry. Plus, study in 2022 for this programme is free for domestic students due to the Government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) (although you'll need to pay for any additional course-related and living costs).

Gain the essential skills needed for working in the bar and café sector of the hospitality industry. Our on-site cafe and restaurant training facilities will enable you to gain important hands-on experience which you can then put into practice during an industry work experience placement.

Are you interested in Mahika Kai? Do you have some experience with traditional food production and harvesting? Graduates of this certificate will have the skills and knowledge to contribute to future Mahinga Kai development of whānau, hapū, iwi, and communities. Earn while you learn with our in-work cookery programme! Designed for those already working in a culinary environment, you'll design your own advanced dishes and menus; learn how to manage workflow, staffing and supplies in a commercial kitchen; develop a deep understanding of sustainable practice; and ensure you're current with regional, national and global cuisine trends. We offer this programme from both our Central Otago and Dunedin campuses and each has a slightly different delivery style so you can choose the option that suits you best.
