It is assumed you already have the texbooks required for New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology, Veterinary Nursing Assistant as this is the pre-requisite programme. If you do not, then we recommend you order these.

It includes details of clinical tasks that you will be carrying out in a veterinary clinic so it is a handy reference for you to have alongside you when you are in clinic - Clinical procedures in Veterinary Nursing by Victoria Aspinal (3rd or 4th edition).

We also recommend that you have access to a Veterinary Dictionary. Many of the words used in the veterinary profession will be new to you and it is important to become familiar with these words and phrases. The School of Veterinary Nursing has a growing collection of e-books which are available to download free from the Robertson library- see below for more details.
