Dr Sue Reynolds – Rhododendron ‘Susan’ and plaque on stone

The ‘Susan’ Rhododendron, which sits in the memorial garden outside the Hub, is dedicated to Dr Sue Reynolds. Sue was a GP who worked at Otago Polytechnic between 2004 and 2006. Initially, the rhododendron was planted outside Student Health, but once renovations begun to the AKO café, it was moved to its current position.

Sue’s parents, her two sons and other family members, attended a ceremony with Student Health staff for the unveiling. Her family continue to visit on the anniversary of Sue’s death and her birthday. She was a much loved doctor, colleague and friend, who is still fondly remembered and greatly missed by her colleagues at Student Health.
