GOT Staff Dive into Auckland Climate Festival for sustainability insights

During the block break, Sonny, Patricia and Dani attended Political Panel: Building a Regenerative Tāmaki Makaurau & Aotearoa, hosted by B Local Tāmaki Makaurau at GridAKL.

The event featured a lineup of notable speakers, including Chlöe Swarbrick, MP for Auckland Central from the Green Party, Rachel Brooking, Labour Party MP, Mahesh Muralidhar, Candidate for Auckland Central from the National Party, and Takutai Moana Natasha Kemp, Tāmaki Makaurau Candidate from Te Pati Māori. Each speaker had the opportunity to present their party's stance on sustainability and environmental issues, drawing attention to the policies and initiatives that they believe can drive change.

GOT staff immersed themselves in the event, eagerly listening to the ideas and plans put forth by the political representatives. They were especially interested in how these policies could contribute to building a more environmentally responsible city and country. They engaged in insightful discussions with fellow attendees, networked with environmentally conscious businesses, and gained a deep understanding of the various strategies that can be adopted to create a more sustainable future.
