We launched our Work Ready Graduate Program for Business and Data Analyst career pathways at OPAIC in October. We invited industry experts to kick off our program with a rich panel discussion.

Business analysis is a growing field and the OPAIC Business Intelligence and Business Analytics courses have developed a strong passion in our learners to explore career pathways in Business Analytics and Data Analytics. Our Employability Team received a special request from our staff and current learners, Marlou Queniahan and Paolo Duran, to curate a programme that aids job readiness and we were delighted to help. Dani Mao, the Employability Manager curated a comprehensive Work Ready Graduate Career Pathway readiness plan for these learners to navigate this path to employability.

To support our learners as they navigate this landscape, we partnered with three industry experts who helped us understand how emerging analysts can secure roles. Michelle Hannan-Brown, the RPA CoE leader at Air New Zealand, Indira Bandari, the Data Architect at dataengine, and Sunando Basu the Senior Digital Business Analyst at Contact Energy Limited invested 60 minutes on campus answering questions and shedding light on the skills and capabilities these roles seek.

Our learners walked away from the session with more clarity on how to plan their careers in this promising space.
