We’ve welcomed our new students by providing them with valuable knowledge about green skills in demand in New Zealand.

This workshop is part of AIC learner Nenie Petrisia’s journey as Co-lead to facilitate campus engagement with international students. It aims to introduce the concept of sustainability and explain why it is important as part of increasing awareness and shifting into sustainable behaviour (SDG 11).

GOT staff volunteers Russell Harray and Mandy Lacy shared their supportive words with students, emphasising the significance of being sustainable practitioners. Big thanks to our alumnus, Karl Ipong, for joining us as a guest presenter and talking about green careers in the NZ industry.

The workshop was an essential stepping stone for Otago Polytechnic Auckland International Campus learners looking to integrate environmental sustainability into their career paths, aligning with the global shift towards eco-friendly business operations and development.
