Employability Centre services for new students
The Employability Centre hosted a welcome Orientation for our new OPAIC and Future Skills International students as they embark on an exciting journey of education and career growth in New Zealand.
These are the support services available for new students at the Employability Centre:
- Employability Work Ready Essentials course: Our students are now enrolled in this comprehensive course that provides part-time job application CV checking and essential career skills.
- LinkedIn networking: Students have started building professional networks and connecting with peers and professionals in their field.
- OPAIC Alumni LinkedIn group: Over 30 students have joined, creating a strong community for ongoing support and networking.
- Employability weekly workshops and newsletter: The Employability Centre hosts weekly skills training workshops tailored for new students and a weekly newsletter that keeps them informed about the latest developments in the professional field and job market.
Our Employability Centre is dedicated to helping students transition smoothly from education to employment. We provide the necessary skills training, industry connections, and career coaching support to all our learners to help them thrive in New Zealand's dynamic job market.
