Construction students collaborate on building project

Construction students in the Construction Technology for Medium and Large Buildings course and the Construction of Residential Buildings course were given an opportunity to collaborate in teams and work on an assigned project recently.

The task was to analyse and apply the lessons of each session during the study block into the given building project. The students ended up giving excellent presentations of their group work in the form of a poster.

The group task was assessed by Priyanka and Omer and the students who worked on the two best group projects were awarded gift cards.

Students said this type of collaborative task was very useful for team building and allowed them to think about the concepts taught in each session.

Lecturer Srividya Krishnamoorthy said she enjoyed seeing students working hard in their group and sharing their ideas which enhanced their learning experience and helped them to improve their soft skills such as communication and team building.
