Foundation students flex their green fingers
Mahi nui to ākonga from Otago Polytechnic's Foundation Studies programme, for their volunteer work this week helping out the Tomahawk Smaills BeachCare Trust.
A group of students spent their Thursday planting some Carex appressa (an indigenous slender dark green foliage commonly known as Tall Sedge) alongside the creek below the nursery at Smaills Beach.
