The Research Team at Whitireia and WelTec invite you to join this week's Friday Lunchtime Research Seminar.
Welcome folks,
Our weekly lunchtime conversations and presentations about research are an open forum for all ITP kaimahi who would like to join us online. Each week we invite a presenter or two to share their research knowledge or interests, and you are welcome to contribute to the korero, ask questions, share your own ideas, and/or just get to meet the other folk in our research community in this informal setting.
Friday Lunchtime Seminar: Maxine Scheckter (2014 WelTec graduate), owner of Sugar Flour Pastry School and recent author
This Friday, Maxine Scheckter, a 2014 WelTec Level 5 Certificate in Cookery and Patisserie graduate, will be discussing her new book Patisserie Made Simple: The Art of Petits Gateaux and her phenomenal career.
Maxine is a French-trained pastry chef who has spent the last 11 years mastering her craft in some of the world’s top kitchens, including Gateaux Thoumieux in Paris, The Fat Duck and Sketch in London and Wellington's own Logan Brown. She founded the Sugar Flour Pastry School in Wellington in 2019 and is based in Wellington. Join us to see the impact that our talented graduate, Maxine, is making in the world.
Here are links to two stories about Maxine from Woman's Day and Radio New Zealand. We are very honoured to have her present in our Friday Seminar Series.
