Collections - annual fashion show

Now in its 34th year, Collections is the annual fashion show celebrating the creativity and innovation of ākonga from the Fashion programmes at Otago Polytechnic.

Unlike many Fashion School showcases, Collections presents the work of every student across all three years of the Bachelor of Design (Fashion) along with the Bachelor of Design (Honours), offering a rare glimpse into the full spectrum of fashion learning and development.

This year’s runway will feature a exciting collaborations with local boutiques – Chapman Store; Company Store; and Plume - with students designing mini-collections tailored to a specific retail brief.

The evening will conclude with collections from 21 final-year students, each designer presenting a fully realised body of work that reflects their individual design philosophy and readiness to enter the professional fashion industry.

Audiences can expect a wide variety of approaches to fashion design – from experimental silhouettes and textile explorations to industry-ready collections that highlight craftsmanship and sustainability.

Together, these presentations capture the energy, originality, and vision of the next generation of New Zealand fashion designers.
