The AIC Career Expo 2025 gave more than 300 students and 80 graduates a valuable opportunity to connect directly with over 20 industry exhibitors across construction, information technology, business management, and more.

The event featured opportunities for students to talk with employers, learn about their industries, take part in career seminars, and check out a student project showcase.

Exhibitors included recruitment companies Absolute IT and ZEIL, construction firms Fire Guard and Dimond Roofing, as well as The Permalinks, Soho Hotel, Sole Agents and City Forex NZ Ltd from the business sector. Some of the businesses were represented by the AIC alumni or current students who work there.

Two career seminars ran during the expo. Redvespa Consultants’ Head of Consulting and Head of Talent Recruitment led a session with two consultants, and students also heard from the CEO of Total QS.

The IT project showcase highlighted the creativity and technical skills of our students. One group built a 2D game with multiple levels and a boss battle. Another student created BookNest, an app for book sharing and community reading. Other projects explored smart gardening, AI translation, tramping communication, and music technology.

We appreciate the student helpers who ensured everything ran smoothly, and the students, staff and alumni who supported the expo.

Thank you to all the industry partners who took time to meet students, share their insights, and offer career guidance.
