FREE Access to NZ Herald Premium and Business Desk

The NZ Institution of Skills and Training has enabled free access to NZ Herald Premium and Business Desk for those working and learning with business divisions, including Otago Polytech and its satellite campuses. The free access is available now and runs until 31 January, 2027.

Kaimahi and ākonga access to NZ Herald Premium:

✖ If you don't already have a NZ Herald online account 

1. Visit: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/my-account/identity/
2. Put in your work/student email address eg. @op.ac.nz create a password, click "continue"
3. Once logged into your Profile try and click onto a Premium article. 
   You must be within campus/work building within your IP range to access. IP access is not available on mobile app, but you can view NZH on mobile through mobile website format.

✔ If you do have a NZ Herald online account 

1. Visit: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/my-account/identity/
2. Put in your work/student email address eg. @op.ac.nz, create a password, click "continue"
3. Once logged into your Profile try and click onto a Premium article. 
   You must be within campus/work building within your IP range to access. IP access is not available on mobile app, but you can view NZH on mobile through mobile website format.

Please note: access has been set up for business division email domains and IP addresses for campuses supplied to Te Pūkenga, which include: op.ac.nz
