Students and staff came together today for the Study Block 4 Student Research Forum.

The session showcased a diverse mix of research, covering digital literacy, employability, artificial intelligence, financial governance, and customer attitudes toward banking chatbots.

Attendees heard from students who were at different stages of their projects, from proposals through to completion.

Students answered questions after each presentation, and there was further opportunity to talk and exchange ideas over a shared lunch.

The presenters and their projects were:

  • Shehantha Gunawardena – Examining the impact of customer digital literacy on the adoption of AI-enabled mobile banking services during digital transformation.
  • Shiba Kumar – Examining employability challenges and opportunities of international students in New Zealand: a case study of Nepalese post-graduates.
  • Malki Maduka Harischandra – Exploring the impact of AI tools on productivity, task efficiency, and work-related wellbeing among IT professionals in New Zealand.
  • Anto Lorenzil Fernando – Are the boards of financial firms in New Zealand ready to navigate the digital transformation wave?
  • Jayashi Ravidilini Silva – Customer awareness and acceptance of banking AI chatbots in Aotearoa.
