Student Success Academic Learning Advisors

Learning advisors are available to help students become successful in their studies

We offer 30-minute, one-to-one appointments (up to 3 per semester) for all students, except those in their third year of a degree programme.

Studiosity will not be available to first and second-year students this year.

Students in their third year of a degree programme will be able to access Studiosity for academic feedback up to four times per semester.  

Third years may request a referral from their lecturer to meet with a learning advisor if additional support is required.

We are available for appointments, in-person and on Teams, from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Learning advisors can help you with:

• Academic writing
• Referencing 
• Making sense of assignments, getting started
• Research skills e.g. using databases, finding sources for assessments
• Oral presentations
• Digital literacy skills e.g. formatting in Word
• Study tips and exam preparation
• Time management and organisation skills
• Navigating AI
