There has been some commentary in the media around how Tertiary Education Union (TEU) members currently in collective agreement bargaining have voted to take industrial action in October.

What does that mean for you?

The vote does not mean that industrial action will proceed, but it does mean that a strike notice could be issued at any point, so we are actively planning for this contingency.

If industrial action does take place, we are committed to minimising any disruption to your learning and the polytechnic services available to you.

We will keep you informed as anything unfolds but can assure you that we will be minimising any impact on our learners.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email our Student Support team – studentsuccessdn@op.ac.nz

Enjoy the rest of your holidays and good luck to those of you preparing for exams, final assessments or projects.
