Simon Swale
Simon has been a lecturer in School of Design at Otago Polytechnic since 2007 following many years within the fashion and clothing industry. Simon is a widely published author and in 2020 completed a Master of Fine Arts at the Dunedin School of Art with a focus on contemporary jewellery. He has since exhibited and won awards both nationally and internationally.

Swale, S. (2022) La Notte / The Night; Love, Loss and Loneliness in the Age of Isolation. Video work in the group exhibition 'SMCK ON REEL', curated by Christoph Ziegler and Loukia Richards, as part of the Art Jewellery Festival, Schmuck, in Munich,7-10 July 2022. in two locations in Munich; Galerie Weltraum and Bayerischer Kunst Gewerbeverrein. The exhibition was featured in the 7th issue of SMCK Magazine. This exhibition toured to Grassi Museum, Leipzeig, 20-23 October 2022. The video and the objects that feature in it, were shown, by invitation, at The National, Christchurch, 25 October - 12 November 2022.
