The new International Students’ Orientation for the Dunedin Campus for Semester Two, is on Wednesday 15th July from 9am to 2pm (please arrive 10 minutes early).
Lunch will be provided.
Here you will be introduced to Support Services including a session with our Academic Advisors, get your ID Card and a tour of the campus. Lunch will be provided as part of orientation. There will be an optional City Bus Tour on Thursday.
Where: Please come to Student Success in The Hub, on the Ground Floor of H Block, on the corner of Forth Street and Union St, Dunedin.
When: 8.50am on Wednesday 15th July. Orientation will begin at 9am.
Please bring with you:
✓ Your passport
✓ Your visa. If you have an electronic visa, you can email it to international@op.ac.nz.
If you are yet to pay your Tuition Fees, please do this before your arrival.
If you are arriving after the initial orientation, or your Programme begins before the international orientation, a mini orientation will be provided for you. Please come to Student Success in the Hub to arrange a time.
Finding a place to live in a new country can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry — there are plenty of accommodation options in Dunedin to suit different needs and budgets.
Homestay
If you would like homestay accommodation for your first 4 weeks (or longer), please contact Homestay New Zealand to register your interest. If you are unsure where to find accommodation in Dunedin, this may be a good option for the first 4 weeks to give you time to find a flat.
Otago Polytechnic Hall of Residence – Te Pā Tauira
Otago Polytechnic has a purpose built hall of residence for students, and it's the perfect home for you to enjoy student life to the fullest within an exciting and supportive community. Our hall of residence is popular and spaces to fill up quickly so we recommend your apply as soon as possible.

Please be aware that most flats require a fixed term lease of twelve months from January to December. However, if you arrive during the year, you may be able to take over an existing lease from a previous student.
