Chef Gianpaolo Grazioli’s mission is simple – make the world’s best ice cream.

A self-taught ice cream maker, Gianpaolo has a scientist’s desire for discovery and the creativity and skills of an old-fashioned pastry chef. His ice cream is an expression creativity combined with a love of wholesome food – shown in the unique flavours that delight customers every day. When he’s not offering the latest ice cream creation with a smile, he can be found in the kitchen, churning or baking. Alternatively he may be researching new ways to trigger emotions by studying the links between food and music, and planning how to surprise the senses of every person who walks into his Queen Street, Auckland ice creamery, Giapo.

His ice cream kitchen is a constant source of attention receiving repeat visits from celebrities, locals, international travellers, and devoted foodies. If his 35,000+ followers on Facebook are anything to go by, Gianpaolo is fast becoming an ice cream phenomenon!
