Product Evaluation Panel

The Product Evaluation Panel assesses the viability of proposed new products and significant changes to existing products.

This is the first necessary step prior to Te Kāhui Manukura approval, formal design and development, and academic approval processes.

Your submission to the Product Evaluation Panel initiates cross organisational activity which enables fair and consistent review of initiatives, ensuring financial feasibility and academic quality is applied to decisions.

Examples of when you need to submit your idea via the Product Evaluation Panel include:

  • Change to delivery mode, site or market
  • Changes to fee structure
  • Introducing International delivery of a programme

After you have submitted your evaluation form, you will be invited to present your submission and answer clarifying questions from the panel members.

The panel may recommend that you seek guidance or additional information from the relevant team, such as finance or academic excellence.
