We have free counselling sessions available.
What is counselling?
You can bring any personal issues or concerns that are impairing your academic performance, or wellbeing to counselling. The counsellor will listen to you and assist and support you to build strategies to overcome difficulties. Counselling is non-judgemental and non-discriminatory.
What can counselling help with?
International students may encounter challenges around:

- Friendships
- Relationships problems
- Loneliness and isolation
- Financial hardships

Confidentiality
Counsellors keep your information confidential according to the New Zealand Association of Counsellors Code of Ethics. Exceptions apply when your personal safety is at risk or someone else is at serious risk.
