How to open a bank account

Visit an ASB branch with your passport to book an appointment.
Apply for an IRD number online.
Bring your IRD number and proof of address when you visit the bank again to open your account

Complete the online form on the ANZ website.
Bring your passport and a proof of address letter to an ANZ branch to activate your account.
