Welcome to the Otago Polytechnic Content Crew 🎥

Kia ora and welcome!

You’ve been selected to be part of the Otago Polytechnic Content Crew — a group of students creating authentic social media content that shows what student life at OP is really like.

This isn’t about being perfect or polished. It’s about sharing your experience, your way.

Now, let's create some social content and spread your voice online!

What Is the Content Crew?

The Content Crew is a group of current OP students who:

  • Create short-form social media content
  • Share real moments from student life
  • Help future students see what it’s like to study at Otago Polytechnic

You’re not here to “sell” OP — you’re here to show your reality.

Use the Media Consent Form when you feature other people in your video. They receive an automated email confirming their participation for social media and marketing purposes.

How long should my videos be?

Most content performs best within 30-60 seconds. We may re-edit your video to meet the requirements of various social media platforms.

Can I use trends and sounds?

Yes! Trends are encouraged. Just make sure they’re appropriate and respectful.

What if I’m not confident on camera?

That’s totally okay. You can film POV shots, voiceovers, text-based reels, or scenery.
